Duties and Responsibilities: Surgeons and nurses supervise technicians work. The majority of certified technicians are employed in hospitals, but some work in outpatient health centers. Certified technicians function in non-sterile and sterile capacities by creating an optimal environment. Some work in ambulatory surgical care centers and in the offices of doctors and dentists.
