Optician
Duties and Responsibilities: They measure clients bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers of eyes. They verify that finished lenses are ground to specifications. They also assist clients in selecting frames according to style and color and ensure that frames are coordinated. They are responsible for repairing damaged frames. Also, they have to show customer how to insert and remove their contact lenses.
Salary: $34,840 per year
Education: They have to have an associates or bachelors degree in opticianry. Opticianry courses educate these workers in anatomy and physiology of the human eye. They also need to be licensed by state.
Demand for this profession: Aging population and increasing rates of chronic disease are expected to lead to greater demand of corrective eye wear.
Reflection: i wouldn’t like to be one because i'm not interested in working with vision.

Ophthalmologist
Duties and Responsibilities: these doctors treat the illnesses, diseases, and conditions that affect the eye. They perform eye surgery and treat eye diseases. They also examine eyes and prescribe contact lenses or glasses.
Salary: $197,000 per year
Education: They are required to earn a medical degree. Ophthalmologist have to earn a 4 year bachelor's degree, complete four years of medical school. They have to complete 3-8 years of internships and residencies. Undergraduate programs include pre-med, biology, and chemistry.
Demand for this profession: the population of these doctors is predicted to grow because vision problems tend to occur frequently later in life.
Maybe i would because some do surgery and i want to be a surgeon, and these doctors do surgery for eyes.
