This quote is saying that when one has good character and has a nice sense of humor more people will get along and there will be more happiness in the world. When people are always upset or like to complain about everything people get into problems and that causes drama. There are people in the world that are not very fortunate and they probably need more of what we have. Some of those people appreciate what they have and are happy with that. Us people that are fortunate we should appreciate what we have and get along with others and be happy. When someone is nice, generous, and likes to see others happy that is beauty in character because not only do they think about themselves but others around them. That’s how it should be everyone should make others happy that way those people could go along with it and it will be a cycle that will never end. This applies to us as people because if we know that we are nice people we treat others in a good way and we want to get along with others. If people are not like that and don’t want to even make others happy they are selfish and don’t want the world or just others in general to be happy. That is why we should always have the best of character so that there won’t be hate in the world and so that we can bring others together.

“Character is higher than intellect.”

This quote is saying that who you are is more important that you knowledge. Someone who is smart doesn’t mean that they have the best attitude or personality. You have to show your character by being who you really are. If someone says that they're nice and kind but they don’t show it then that doesn’t mean they are. Some people say good stuff about themselves just to look good and for people to say good stuff about them. For example, if you are meeting someone new and they tell you that they have a good personality but they act mean, then they’re just lying to look good. In order to be who you say you are you have to act that way and show others that you aren’t fake just to look good. Some people that are smart like to show off their knowledge and they are cocky about it. Those kind of people are people who want everyone to think that they are the best and they like attention in my opinion. Some people are smart but they don’t show it off to look good, some are even nice and have a nice personality.

“Character Matters Most.”- Dale Murphy

This quote by Dale Murphy is saying that the person who describes you or what represents you is what matters most. It’s what matters most because it's what people look at and what they look at to see what kind of person you are. If you are someone who is generous, kind, loving etc., that is what people will look at and see what kind of person you are. Whether  you’re mean or nice, people have to see if you either of those in order to see how you really are. Your type of character describes how you will be in the future and how it will help you succeed. It helps you in many thing like getting a job, meeting new people, and other stuff. For example, if there's a new kid at school and someone is trying to talk to him but that person is mean and always greedy the new kid wouldn’t like him because he doesn’t want someone mean to influence him. The kid would want someone that is friendly and is willing to talk to him or her. Otherwise if the kid if not friendly he will think that maybe others are mean to and no one will like to talk to him. It is always best to be yourself and be the person you know you are because without knowing who you are, nobody else will know and see what kind of person you are.
