This quote is saying that wherever you are in life, if you don’t know what you goals are you won't go as far as you want. If you’re trying to reach or accomplish a goal that you really want but you don’t work hard to do it, you won’t reach that goal. You have to work hard and set you mind to what you want in order to accomplish it. When you do something but you don’t put effort in it, what you did isn’t going to turn out how you wanted it to be. For example, if your goal is to get straight A’s in all your classes but you don’t put in the work to earn those A’s you’re not going to earn them. You have to show that you care and you want to earn all A’s in order to get those grades. When you show that you have interest in accomplishing your goals you will accomplish them. If you lack on doing what you’re willing to accomplish it’s not going to do it itself. You have to put in the work and work hard for it. Whether it’s a small goal or something that is really important to you, never be negative about it and say that you can’t do it because you can with the hard work you put in it.
