Duties and responsibilities: These medical doctors are responsible surgical and medical treatment of the ears, nose, and throat. Specialized skills of otolaryngologists include managing disorders of the upper pharynx and oral cavity, voice box, ears, nose, face, and neck. Almost all these doctors handle cases like nosebleeds, infected mastoids, and sinusitis. They usually work in clinics, and hospitals they may work as medical school directors, hospital administrators, teachers in medical schools, and directors of research.
Salary: $344,086 per year
Education: They need a undergraduate degree of four years of college and university. Medical degree for four years of medical school. They need to train for 5 years. Training in sub specialty of choice such as the head and neck for 2 years.
Demand for profession:as the elderly population continues to increase there will be growing need for professionals who can treat and manage hearing loss and other specific needs of the elderly.
No i don’t think i would like to be one i want to be a doctor but not one that works with only ears, nose and throat.
